IIMS Brings Professional Marine Surveying to Middle East’s Maritime and Transport Sector

International body opens first Middle East Chapter in Dubai and is organising a ‘Marine Insurance and Claims’ conference in December 2009

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – 16th November 2009: - The International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS), the largest independent marine surveying organisation in the world, has landed on Middle East shores and opened its first chapter in this region in Dubai with Captain Zarir S. Irani as its Regional Director. The Dubai branch will be the focal point of contact for the GCC marine industry. To kickstart its operations, IIMS will be organising its inaugural ‘Marine Insurance and Claims’ seminar at the SP Jain Centre of Management in Dubai Academic City on the 6th and 7th of December 2009.
