The First Level Diploma consists of seven Core Modules and Specialist Modules. The Core Modules are compulsory and are to be studied by all students.

First decide which diploma you are going to study. Review the Specialist Modules in that section and choose the specialist modules that you wish to study. Indicate your choices on the application form.

All modules contain a Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) which is a compulsory element for obtaining a Diploma or Certificate. The TMAs are an important part of the course as they provide the student and the tutor with a progress marker during the course. They also count towards a maximum of 30% of a Diploma candidate's total mark with the remaining 70% being awarded for the examination.
